Dear Hamrockians,

I, on behalf of all the members of Hamrock Society, Department of Earth Sciences, IIT Roorkee extend my warm wishes to all of you.

The main features of this site are its e-magazine, alumni database, photo slide show of department activities, contact addresses and news pertaining to our society, the hamrock shoutbox. Articles for the magazine and suggestions related to this web site or any of the Hamrock activities are cordially invited.

It's a great pleasure to let you know, that this year, we, the current batch of the department, are trying to make our Society more interactive and lively, for which your regular support is sought. We have given our website a new look to make it more user friendly where everyone can keep their information updated on the website.

Its an ernest request to all Hamrockians to update their profile and keep sending their feedbacks and suggestions along with their articles and creative ideas in order to inculcate an endeavour to bring forward the spirit of being a Hamrockian and in this particular year we have set some goals to achieve and your valuable feedbacks will definitely help us in this regard.

We have already started such endeavour with organising various event and very soon with the onset of Geosynergy-2009, our website will play a major role in raising funds for events and keeping everyone updated with the latest events.               

I thank the web design group in taking out their valuable time for updating this site.
